Stan Storimans' Scholarship was initiated by the First Lady of Georgia Mrs. Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs in order to pay respect to the Dutch journalist Stan Storimans who died in Gori during the tragic events in August 2008. By this, she gives the opportunity to Georgian journalists to receive higher education degree, to get professional training and to enhance their skills.

This informative website has been created specially for this purpose and will serve as an instrument for the provision of detailed information about the proposed courses as well as the admission requirements to Georgian journalists.
This year, within the Stan Storimans' Scholarship, the young Georgian journalists and academic student of the department of journalism are given an opportunity to attend the one week summer school course Investigative Journalism: Searching the truth behind the truth at the Roosevelt Academy in Middelburg, The Netherlands.
